Obviously it means make up for your own personal use. It's just the learning of basics make up before knowing the professional courses. Observing is easy but you have to try to put it on yourselves. For example, my skin is too fair (I had to admit it, since my teacher said so). Therefore, I can't put on foundation that is darker than my skin. Foundation is the first step, everyone knows that. We were advised to apply moisturizer or face mask, scrub our face daily.
Tip #01: Foundation apply 2 or 3 times lighter than your natural skin colour. Yup.
HARD TO FIND FOUNDATION THAT IS LIGHTER THAN MY SKIN.
Basically, my course fees costs me about $500 for 5days course which includes hairstyling. 3 hours per day. Most important is that you've learn something from that $500, otherwise it's not worth it.
We apply the orange colour before applying concealer. This is to cover the eyebags, dark eye circles. If your double sided is dark, you may need to apply there also. So it won't be like a patch here and there.
I will not go into details cos I don't think the sch allows me to elaborate much.
This looks funny right, I know. Apply this orange thing will let you know how much concealer you had to apply. After everything done, don't apply anything on the neck. Just drag the excess from your chin area to your neck.
Brought my own's.
Black ones are school's.. Except the pallette.
Next, contour.
What is it? To shape your face.
I'm sure some of you had watched Michelle Phan's videos in Youtube.
She've taught you how to have a sharp nose right? By shading your side nose darker.
& the cheeks depends on how your cheeks look like. You can't just anyhow apply cos everyone's face are different in shape. It's all about shadows.
For me, my face is quite small. So I had to apply highlight.
Not sure if you can see the eyeshadow,
For fair people, brown is a better choice. Silver and black is not suitable for darker skin because it's like dirty.. o.o this photo's eyebrows and eyeshadow done by my teacher, Mel. I did Mascara, Curl clipper, Shaved eyebrows, eyeliner too.
For mascara, apply it by zig zag from left to right, then right to left.
My eyes are drop downwards, so my eyeshadow and eyeliner must be drawn upwards alittle on the ends.
Curl Clippers is to adjust your eyelashes so it won't go anywhere, for longer lashes you may need to clip 3x5 which means 5 times in the inner lashes, 5 times middle lashes, 5 times on the end tips. For short lashes, only had to do once or twice 5 times clipping each.
The eyebrow part is quite difficult, cos you have to balance both the same shape. This pic shows how to shape your eyebrows. You need not follow your eyebrow, as for my natural eyebrow, it's a sad eyebrow. HAHA so I had to draw upper alittle so give that smiley.
Lastly, lipstick. I HATE LIPSTICK. SO YOU WONT SEE ME USING IT WHEN IM VAINING. Immediately rub it off LOL!
Lipstick: Draw the outline, also same as the eyebrow, I need a smiley lips.
